World Day Against Child Labor
There is a movement of June 12th to end child labor. Organizations give money to help enroll kids in school; help them while they have to work in order to survive. People walk for awareness. People make posters and play music for awareness. There are programs being developed to put an end to child labor as well.
Social MediaMaybe it's just a Facebook post, or a picture on Instagram. Or just a simple hashtag on Twitter. But social media reaches everywhere, places that newspapers and magazines don't. Everyone sees it. And tons of people are posting to make changes against child labor and to put an end to it.
People going on trips may witness something, snap a picture, and upload it, for millions of others to see, and to do something about. |
NewpapersThere is a lot of coverage on child labor in newspapers and magazines. New York Times has wrote multiple articles on the situation.
